@anatoliykmetyuk I suggest to add label backport candidate for 3.1.2-RC3 and/or 3.1.3-RC1 !

The branch for 3.1.3 release series hasn't been cut off yet, so this will get into 3.1.3-RC1 and no backport is needed.
3.1.2-RC3 has already been released so you can't put anything more into it and we wouldn't want to create another RC just for that.
That shouldn't be a problem however as this fix is actually just an improvement in convenience. For experimenting in REPL one can typically use the nightly compiler (BTW it's super easy in scala-cli - starting from 0.1.2 you should be able to just run scala-cli repl -S 3.nightly)

@michelou I'm no longer managing the release – I believe Virtus Lab has someone doing it on a rotating basis – @Kordyjan please confirm.
