Clifm's FAQ

Feel free to add here those things that made you wonder "How do I ..." when you first met clifm.

Example:

How do I clear the screen?

To clear the screen just run rf, or press Enter (on an empty line) or Ctrl-l

These questions, and the corresponding answers (provided they are actually frequently asked), will be added to the FAQ section of the Wiki.

Thank you very much in advance!

About your FAQ example, rf actually refreshes file list, it doesn't clear the screen if there is ClearScreen=false in config file. Can you update the refresh command to do both, i.e., clear && refresh ? That shall be more useful to users with ClearScreen=false

Sounds reasonable. Could you please open an issue for this one?

I tried to compress the paragraph from this section.

How do I change the color scheme?

Either via the command line (--color-scheme=NAME), permanent via the ColorScheme option in the main configuration file, or temporary for preview purposes using the cs command, for instance,

cs mytheme

Enter cs (or cs <TAB>) to get a list of available color schemes.

By default, clifm ships several themes, though more can be found in our colors repository.

For more details and custom theming visit the wiki.
