Letterpad has only one theme at the moment. You can find it in this repo - https://github.com/letterpad/letterpad-client
The theme works very well and can act as a boilerplate. However, it can be improved. The data fetching part can be confusing. Would like to know your thoughts on this. You can see a demo of this theme @ https://www.ajaxtown.com

I believe you can come up with a tutorial on how to implement new themes (home page/posts/tags).

This can convert some of the users to contributors, and people can also (with or without contributing back) build their own themes.
