I think you need to configure APT, so that it uses different servers for different architectures: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MultiarchHowto

Yes, the following worked: $ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/amd64.list # Create this file

$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture amd64
$ sudo apt update

objdump does seem to see dynamic linking, especially in the "Dynamic Section". I first ran it on the statically linked binary for comparison. |

An interesting side project for someone, would be to allow running Linux programs on the Mac (using lima) I think this Noah project could be adopted to do it with Lima: https://github.com/georghe-crihan/imgact_linux Note: it involves kernel modules, so it is not for the faint of heart... It would allow you to "execute" a program, without the |

A less scary way to do it, would be to do a shell wrapper and have that execute With creative use of symlinks, you could use the same script for multiple programs by looking at the arguments |
