It doesn't set the messages per rule, it sets them per field as the documentation says. If you are looking to set specific error messages for specific rules then use the localization API |

I looked into the localization API and could not get it working with my implementation. Does the localization override have to take place at the source of the extend import? |

I have an instance where I want 2 fields with a common rule to output a different message. I figured I could use the setErrors message for this, but It's not clear from the documentation if it's possible to specify the rule? It seems to just explicitly set the message as soon as it's called.
