Hi,

Would like to ask for some advice. I've installed the Dual Edge TPU adapter in a 8x Raiser card ( as I don't have any x1 slots in my motherboard ). I have a Fujitsu Siemens Primergy RX200-S7 server, running Ubuntu 22.04.

I don't get the PCIe adapter listed when typing lspci.
Also ls dev/apex_0 or apex* is returning: that file or folder does not exist.

Any help would be truly appreciated

Hi @pissten

First step to setup things is to make sure that system can detect an adapter and Coral card. So with lspci you should see several lines of ASM1182 - this is PCIe switch IC and 'Global Unichip' - these are TPUs.

If none of these are available, could you please check:

  • if there are some settings in BIOS related to this PCIe slot (enable, force x1 lane, force PCIe 2.0, etc)
  • if it's possible to test this slot with another PCIe x1 card, like NIC, WiFi or USB card, in case if there's something similar to this Dell issue: "PCIe error as occurred" at boot with a Dell R230 server #27
