I'd like to use this in browser, but without a web server or connections out to the internet. #2961

We have an example of how to use marked in a browser on our README. You can copy marked.min.js to a .js file on your local server and access it a similar way if you don't want to use a CDN.

If you just want to copy the HTML that is output for a given markdown file you can copy the markdown to our demo site and copy the HTML that is produced on the right side to an .html file.
