What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

We should add information about using a period character (U+002E full stop) in grid-template-areas strings, since it's a useful feature defined in the spec.

What did you expect to see?

At least an info box that such a feature exists. Maybe with an additional example showing the usage.

Do you have any supporting links, references, or citations?

I like Rachel Andrew's explanation in an article on Smashing Magazine:

If you do want to leave a cell (or cells) as empty space, you do this by inserting a . or series such as ... with no space between them.

Or simply something like "A period signifies an empty grid cell".
