Nevermind, I completely misunderstood the parameters to this method, I understand it now. |

Hello,
I was looking at integrating the new
facet-search
feature in meilisearch-ruby, and looking at the API documentation for it I saw that it acceptsmatchingStrategy
as a parameter.Down the line in that documentation it says that multi-word facets are not supported and that only the first word is considered. Applying my understanding of
matchingStrategy
in regular search, if I have a "Jane Austen" facet with thematchingStrategy
set to"last"
, searching for "Jane Doe" should search for "Jane Doe" (and find nothing) and then search for "Jane" (and find "Jane Austen").Does this happen because of the lack of support for multi word facets? Or is it because there is no limit parameter in
facet-search
? If so, what effect doesmatchingStrategy
have on a call tofacet-search
, if any?The existing SDKs that have implemented wrappers around
facet-search
and added tests for them do not test this parameter at all:meilisearch-python (yes there is a space in the filename and yes it bothers me)
meilisearch-js
meilisearch-dart
meilisearch-php
