Docs: concerns about Gulp documentation

Issue:

The documentation about Gulp suggests using gulp-typescript, but since Node 18 gulp-typescript does not work. The problem is a third-party dependency (source-map), and the fix is easy, but gulp-typescript seems to be currently unmaintained so there seems to be no solution in sight.

Recommended Fix:

I don't have any suggestions, other than the concern that the documentation will be more and more outdated as Node 18 and later gets more popular.
