Why did you render

This is a simple example of getting why-did-you-render up and running. The header component will rerender despite the state staying the same. You can see details in developer console.

How to use

Using create-next-app

Execute create-next-app with npm or Yarn to bootstrap the example:

npx create-next-app --example with-why-did-you-render with-why-did-you-render-app
# or
yarn create next-app --example with-why-did-you-render with-why-did-you-render-app

Download manually

Download the example:

curl https://codeload.github.com/zeit/next.js/tar.gz/canary | tar -xz --strip=2 next.js-canary/examples/with-why-did-you-render
cd with-why-did-you-render

Install it and run:

npm install
npm run dev
# or
yarn
yarn dev
