I have run into this issue a lot on my mac: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66686112/apple-silicon-not-able-to-read-environment-variable-in-gradle-test In my case the PATH variable was not correctly set, so that I couldn't easily run prebuilt tasks. The only way I could fix it was using a higher gradle version (I tried 7.3.1). Executing over command line also works fine.
Anything speaking against upgrading?
