Hi, it's sort of undocumented from what I can tell after the option got removed from the newer windows installers, however it's actually very simple! just make a file named datapath.lua in the directory where Naev is being executed from and in it put

For config / saves, Naev should be respecting the XDG variables (see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/XDG_Base_Directory for reference). It should be possible to write a small wrapper to set-up the XDG variables to point at the current directory and have Naev use that as part of a portable install. |

How can I make naev starts in portable mode? i.e. make naev stores its saves and config in the directory where naev is executed (in case of portable installation). I want so that I can run my saved game across systems. Currently naev stores my save in $HOME/.local/share/naev (I'm in Linux).
