Despite helping review proposals, I still find it challenging to organize my thoughts when it comes time for first and second round picks; and I can't imagine how hard it is for people new to a convention.
Is there interest in testing a very basic tagging system? I'd be happy to do a rough analysis of the games that were run and propose say ... 30 tags. Those tags might then be filterable on the calendar, or have a separate page where one can explore and favorite games by tag.
The process of aligning "which tags" to "which games" is more of a con decision, but I would suggest just letting the GM pick up to X tags themselves as part of proposals.
