Netbox Installation issue #16036
-
Hi, I'm trying to install Netbox on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS Followed the official procedure https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/tree/develop/docs/installation Got to section 3-Netbox.md and setup all the necessary parameters. Ran the sudo /opt/netbox/upgrade.sh It's completed with: Removing expired user sessions (python3 netbox/manage.py clearsessions)...WARNING: No existing virtual environment was detected. A new one has netbox.service ExecStart: netbox-rq.service ExecStart: After modifying these files, reload the systemctl daemon:
Trying to open the web with http://IP_ADRESS:8000, the page doesn't come up. Did I miss anything? Or do I need to do something with netbox services? (They seems to be not running at all) Thanks Vlad |

I'm not sure which step you're stuck on. In step 3 the server is started by the command
python3 manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8000 --insecure
.The services only come in step 4 and then the HTTP server, then NetBox can only be accessed via port 80 or 443.
I suggest you take a look at the documentation website and not the raw markdown version in GitHub https://docs.netbox.dev/en/stable/installation/3-netbox/
