I started a thread on our Discourse and got some feedback that Omnipedia's user picture support is hella basic so before we switch the Discourse over to only allowing Omnipedia user pictures and not ones uploaded to Discourse, we'll need to implement the following:

  • Add image cropping functionality; the Image Widget Crop module looks like it's worth trying for this.
  • Rework user picture display to mimic Discourse, i.e. crop to a circle using CSS border-radius.
