[Bug]: Associate geo: links keep appearing every time

Bug description

There is a notification appears every time you open Maps, at least in Firefox, even though Open geo links checkbox is not set in Maps settings.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open maps
2. Notification panel appears

Expected behavior

Should only appear once or if checkbox is set in settings.
