Upon import, Epic Mickey meshes can have very rudimentary materials that don't reflect all the properties, especially the textures. For example, the following material is created for the attached nif:
Even though the NiTexturingProperty links to three different textures, none of them appear in the Blender material.
Ideally, full support of the materials for Epic Mickey is implemented such that every entry in the nif has a Blender equivalent. At the least the diffuse texture should be supported.
