Nock does not intercept calls from non-directly invoked functions

I'm facing the following test case:
A function posts a message to a queue A
Queue A consumer receiving message triggers a HTTP call (the one I want to nock) and posts the result to queue B
Queue B consumer asserts the result of the HTTP call

Here, consumer bootstrap and triggers are called after the nock(...) setup statement.
Still, anytime the HTTP call is made over the queue consumer, nock does not intercept it.
Where does nock actually intervenes when it comes to "overriding the http.request"?

What type of message queue are we talking about here.

Nock is only able to intercept HTTP requests made in the same Node process. Therefore, the Queue A consumer would need to in the same Node process as the test runner.

Nock monkey patches the native http and https modules in Node.

The queue here is RabbitMQ, but it does not matter that much for the issue since both consumer and producer are within the same node process.
I found that a wrong timing in the queue was replicating a call twice leading nock to fail (as it should), but I was mistaken making the diagnosis.
Solved by now.
