hi,
thank you for this development, it is very interesting.
Unfortunatly, I did a basic test with Mongodb-memory-server which is working on my computer (windows), but when I do the test on gitlab ci , there is an error. if you have any ideas :-)

the stage on my ci is

test_env_var_dev:

Alpine linux is not supported, because mongodb does not provide binaries for this as can be seen in #347

current workaround for docker: #347 (comment)

btw, you did not provide what versions are used

I have done several tests with diffirent image, and I found one image which is working with my ci : node:16-stretch

• node v16.5.0
• npm 7.19.1
• mongoose : 5.12.5
• mongodb-memory-server: 7.3.4

for your information, with node:16-buster I still have the following error:

On CircleCI I've had success with using the node:bullseye image without having to configure it beyond what comes out of the box.
