I ended up with a Nuxt 2 Webpack installation after running the recommended installation steps in the docs...

I think this is a serious problem with the current documentation. Since the goal is to promote Nuxt 3, it makes sense to clean up all documentation to point to that new version and move 2.x related information to an archive.
