After doing some research on how to contribute to the open community, I wondered if it would be easier to integrate Nostr with SwitchHosts, since the nostr protocol is relatively simple and focuses on the client and relays.
I'm considering a good scenario where there are many decentralized servers and clients telling me which hosts files I can apply to the desktop, my computer. Or I could consult the relays for a range of IPs or addresses to which I can block access through the firewall.
But we definitely will not be doing this. We try not to block the root domains of businesses. Like their home pages, for example. Because we don't employ enough lawyers to deal with that. We try to block the actual domains used to convey ads, tracking, or worse. This is rarely the root domain, and certainly never the root domains of large companies.
