How to implement connectedCallback with @open-wc/testing

    super.connectedCallback()

I want to test if role group is defined but I can't even see the result of console.log on connectedCallback.
Is there way to execute connectedCallback with above test code?
There are more steps if it runs successfully like press down tab to focusin properly.

What I tried,

const element = await fixture(html`
<lit-list><lit-item></lit-item><lit-item></lit-item></lit-list>

await el.updateComplete

const items = el.querySelectorAll('lit-item')

for (const item of items) {
     setTimeout(()=>item.connectedCallback(), 100); // but not working
     console.log(item) // no changes :(
}
