Proposal

We have a couple promising rough ideas laid out in:

nodejs/node#43818
nodejs/node#43816

Topic of the session

Type of the session

  • Collaborate
  • Workshop
  • Talk

Estimated duration of the session

20 minutes to review the problem and proposals
10 minutes to individuals to brainstorm / collect their thoughts
30 minutes to discuss

Date and Time of the session

Perhaps 2 parts, one on the first day, and another on the second, with people working by themselves in between?

Level

  • Beginner
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

Pre-requisite knowledge

  • Module Loaders / Node's module loading lifecycle
  • TypeScript (and friends, but I think TS is the most challenging one)

Describe the session

Day 1: progress the technical design
Day 2: revise technical design, or, better yet, a PoC

Session facilitator(s), Github handle(s) and timezone(s)

I can facilitate, but I will be unavailable ~2 weeks prior (I'm on holiday)

Follow-up / Set-up sessions (if any)

Are there any specific expectations for hosting this?

I'm planning to put together a concise slide deck (est 5 mins) with:

  • an overview of the topic (what & why)
  • the proposed solutions
  • the end-result we're targeting
  • a list of goals to accomplish in the workshop and after

I'll also try to prep a list of relevant things in ESM I think may be useful for accomplishing the above

Check the agenda. We separated all sessions in two sections. First one being a presentation for broader audience on the main room and then following immediately a collab session for the same topic on the 2nd room.

So this allows people interested on said topic to go over the other room to collab
