I am frustrated because your readme doesn't give much of an indication regarding applicable operating systems. It mentions MAC, but I don't have one. If it only runs on MAC, I really wish you would have stated that somewhere intuitive.
Feature story
Feature: AMI Image of this application.
As a special education teacher who needs centralization of standards
I want this application as a pre-built image somewhere like AWS or similar
So that I can spin up an instance and test this software without having to
waste hours simply trying to get it installed.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like this application ready to go in a virtual machine somewhere.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I have tried an uncountable amount of installations on various linux platforms and have not been successful at getting this application going. I recognize I may be missing something, but since your directions are not very explicit and hence not written for someone like me, I would implore you to have this application ready to go on a VM in the cloud so that interested individuals like me can enjoy your hard work. Thanks!
Additional context
I would also accept very specific instructions on setting this application up on an ubuntu server or something like that. Although I am very tech savvy thanks to my days as a Cpp programmer, I have not been able to keep up with web for a while, and especially lost my touch when I became a teacher.

Containerized deployment into AWS is supported and this is how PCG operates its instances. Also, PCG provides managed hosting services for OpenSALT. We have a sandbox server for using to try out If you would like access reach out to us at the link on the contact page here-> https://sites.google.com/view/opensalt/contactcontribute?authuser=0
@gisd-brad-marshall The application will run on any OS with docker installed (Mac, Linux, some Windows support). Note that this application runs the backend portion of a web site.
The files in https://github.com/opensalt/deploy are intended as a base configuration to be able to bring up the application using pre-built docker images instead of having to build them (as this repository is for).
Thank you for your interest in OpenSALT!
