They've made the video private, but there's a nice transcript of it here:
https://www.ignw.io/blog/2019/faq-hashicorp-open-source

"All the major projects that we have at HashiCorp are open source ..."

and

"... all major innovation in the infrastructure space has tended towards open source ..."

They also lied in their CLA page.

I am strongly against attempting to "shame" HashiCorp by dragging up past quotes or even specific sections of the CLA. Our goal is not to tear them down or make them look bad, but to advocate for our own need, which is to have a truly open source Terraform that is community-driven.

I have no doubt that HashiCorp had wrenching internal discussions lasting months or longer about how to meet their own need to become a thriving business. Let's face it; that's never easy to do, even when you're an open source leader. If any of us were in their situation, subject to their constraints, forced to deal with their needs, it's hard to know how we would respond.

So I'd much prefer that all our interactions in OpenTF be positive, and focused on our own needs, not on someone else's failings. Let's be the example project that people look up to.

FWIW, https://cla.hashicorp.com/ still mentions:

The CLA ensures that all contributions to our open source projects are licensed under the project's respective open source license, such as MPL2.

But HashiCorp is evil and bad, we can't make them any more terrible than they already are.
