Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

JDK 8 is getting quite old, and it seems that some people run into issues with JDK 8.

Describe the solution you'd like

We should update the wiki instructions to use JDK 11, instead, but this needs to be verified in a Linux environment. @kkmurerwa has already confirmed JDK 11 works on Mac, so we can update that wiki page at the same time.

Describe alternatives you've considered

None.

Came up during the CLaM meeting today.
