How can a fine-grained token's scopes be checked via API?

With the introduction and expansion of fine-grained tokens, users and organizations are encouraged to migrate from using classic tokens. However, a problem remains where the option to ascertain a token's scopes via the API is no longer possible as it was with classic PATs using the method linked here.

This limitation prevents users of fine-grained tokens from using programs that rely on validating the scopes of a token, such as Legitify.

Is there another method to check the scopes of a token via the GitHub API? If not, does GitHub plan on implementing one in the future?
