Cannot install copilot on my nvim with the following error:

My nvim version is 0.7.2 and the node.js version is v16.13.1

Hmm.. The output of that commend is E475: Invalid argument: expected valid directory

That would explain it. Check these:

:echo isdirectory(expand('~'))
:echo getfperm(expand('~'))

It seems like the output of the first command is 1 and the second command is ---rwx---

Those are some whack permissions. Try chmod 0770 ~ in the shell and see if that gets Copilot working.

I'm getting the same error since today:

but on Windows 11.

• Neovim version: 0.9.2
• Node version: 20.7.0
• NPM version: 10.1.0
• Copilot.nvim: lastest version as of today

Running the same commands I get:

> :echo expand("~")
Y:\
> :echo jobstart(['true'], {'cwd': expand("~")})
E475: Invalid value for argument cmd: 'true' is not executable
-1
> :echo isdirectory(expand('~'))
0
> :echo getfperm(expand('~'))

With the last being an empty line. But that may just be because I'm running Windows.
And that's the same reason why I can't try the proposed fix. Is there any way to fix this issue on Windows?
