Hi,

Could you tell us why there has been no release for 2 years? This really penalizes the Orika project and becomes blocking for its daily use.

thanks in advance

Any idea if this is going to work in Java 17 LTS?

IDK, I think to go away from Orika in my all projects 😢

Due to this problem (no new version). This project will unfortunately die. #280

@dtrouillet Unfortunately you are right. You can see my last message on the orika chat in gitter.im at 12 March 2021.

Hello, orika is a great library. It seems initial authors are busy with other stuff and the library is not a priority for them. This is my honest feeling. I don't blame anyone. I used orika in the past and I was happy with its capabilities. The last 3 years I'm developing extensively on Python & NodeJS so orika is not on my focus anymore. Does it make sense to find volunteers that want to continue developing the library.

I haven't received a response.

@elaatifi First of all, thanks for writing such a great mapping library. I see there are plenty of PRs with fixes and good stuff.

How can we contribute towards releasing a new version, it has been a couple of years since the last release.

@elaatifi Appreciate your effort for such a great library. Have you considered to invite someone add to the organization to keep the project alive?

Sure if any one familiar with the project and want to help it's more than welcomed.

Hi, we recently migrated to Java 17 and used this Orika starter project as it supports Java 17, Java 21, and the latest spring boot version 3.2.x - https://github.com/akkinoc/orika-spring-boot-starter
