Alright, let me try and reproduce and see if there's a quick fix.

This may not be due to the editor itself, rather the processing I'm doing in the background (HTML to Markdown processing, image paths etc). A lot of this logic is going to be pushed server side in the next version, things should be much lighter in the client.

I can't promise I'll get this addressed for another few weeks, but I can give you access to the next version as soon as it's reasonably usable. Bear with me.
