Steps to reproduce the behavior:
CREATE TABLE `as.df` ( `i.d` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `a.b.c` int(11) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`i.d`) ); INSERT INTO `as.df` (`i.d`, `a.b.c`) VALUES (1, 1), (2, 2);
The column should be sorted.
The code uses str_contains($clause, '.') to check whether the name has table and column parts and explode('.', $clause) to split table from column.
