I installed vdirsyncer using apt-get update && apt-get install vdirsyncer on Ubuntu 22.04 - this leaves me with version 0.18.0
How can I get the latest updates?

Given that the latest version is not packaged for Ubuntu 22.04, try using pipx:

Thank you for the hint! Is there a way to make sure it is packaged with apt? That would it make much easier for admins to install and maintain their installations up-to-date

scripts/release-deb.sh has some code to build debs in a docker container.

Okay, I've pushed 0.19.3 for ubuntu/jammy: https://packagecloud.io/app/pimutils/vdirsyncer/search?dist=ubuntu%2Fjammy
