We have a fairly large pixi 6 application with hundreds of text objects, and we're wondering what the best migration path to v7 (and v8) would be given the new line height behavior. For some context, the text line height behavior was changed in v7, and it seems to significantly affect text with strokes. Here is an example repo which demonstrates the problem in Pixi 6 using the Simply clone the repo (it's a vite app), run Ex. Here is an animation and an overlay of the two line height behaviors which shows the issue: I understand why the lineheight behavior was changed, and I don't consider this a bug per-se, but if someone knows of any way forward other than spending a few days tweaking all of our text positions, it would be much appreciated. 😀 |

Answering my own question for anyone who runs into this in the future. It looks like this was fixed in 7.0.5 (#8906) - the text looks identical between 6.5.10 and 7.0.5. In other words, setting |

Answering my own question for anyone who runs into this in the future. It looks like this was fixed in 7.0.5 (#8906) - the text looks identical between 6.5.10 and 7.0.5.
In other words, setting
PIXI.Text.nextLineHeightBehavior
totrue
in 6.5.10 results in the pre-7.0.5 behavior (with the bug), but anyone upgrading from v6 to v7 would likely go to the latest version (7.4.0 as of the time of this writing) which includes the fix.
