excessive load times with Brave browser #10400

Opening https://polkadot.js.org/apps/ can take up to 10min to load and finally work.

pages says "Waiting to establish a connection with the remote endpoint." but changing endpoints doesn't matter. Firefox loads within few seconds with the same endpoints
same behavior over IPFS https://dotapps-io.ipns.dweb.link/#/explorer
console log shows nothing suspicious
disabling "Brave shields" doesn't help
sometimes it loads in a second, but mostly not
once loaded successfully, changing endpoints reiterates the same excessive load times

ubuntu 22.04 desktop
Brave: Version 1.64.109 Chromium: 123.0.6312.58 (Official Build) (64-bit) (installed with snap)
