Cursor often doesn't switch to its resize icon on bottom and left edge

When hovering over the bottom or left edges of the window, it's hard to trigger the cursor to switch to its resize icon, but the window can still be resized.
If first hovering over the corners (or the right and top edges), the cursor switches to the expected icons when it's moved along the resize grab area.
