LOG_LEVEL=error still showing user defined app.log() ?

I'm setting up log in probot app.

module.exports = async (app) => {
  const logInfo = () => app.log('this should log info level, right?');

  app.on('push', (context) => logInfo();
}

but I don't want to show the log when testing. So calling LOG_LEVEL=error yarn test, but the log info still showing, I even tried set the env in jest beforeEach hook. But still showing. Then I tried start the app with LOG_LEVEL=error yarn start, the log only showing info from user defined log (no INFO (server) and other showing, but INFO (probot) still showing).

Is that expected behavior? Thank you.

I don't think so. CAn you replicate the same problem when you start the app using LOG_LEVEL=error npx probot run ./index.js?

Oh, I don't think so. With probot run the log level is correct.

The issue is when I run the app with import { run } from 'probot'

could you dig into the code a bit and try to find out why the two behave different? I agree that they shouldn't, I just don't have the time to look into it myself right now.

Make sure that the LOG_LEVEL environment variable is not somehow set by jest if that's how you execute the code where run() is called
