How to correctly use server to start probot

I'm considering add serveral custom route in probot , so I decided to use Server to do it .

I created a file named custom.ts

and used probot run ./lib/custom.js as I'm using ts

but seems everything I write in index.ts is gone , when I opened an issue, nothing happend.

and the custom route is also showing 404, seems the registration was not successful.

is there anything I did wrong ?

ah, I just changed the code , instead of return server, I changed it to server.start()

and then use node ./lib/custom.js, it could be running , the custom route seems to be present, but the problem is I cannot use smee.io to redirect and test webhooks, is that a way to achive that with custom routes?

smee.io can only proxy GitHub's webhook request, it cannot proxy request for custom routes. If you want to make your local server accessible from the outside, I'd recommend looking into https://github.com/localtunnel/localtunnel or https://ngrok.com/

https://smee.io works for me? I just tested it and it all works as expected

Oh sorry, I think I understand now what you mean.

When you use Server directly you don't get the built-in smee.io proxy feature and the landing page, you have to build it out yourself
