Linking Logged-in User with GitHub App Repository Events using Callback URL

My question is: How can I link the logged-in user ID (user123) with the GitHub user ID (github_user456) received in the Probot events?

Here's the flow:

1. User logs into my NextJS app and is assigned a user ID (e.g., user123).
2. User clicks the "Authorize with GitHub" button, which opens a popup window at https://github.com/apps/[APP-SLUG]/installations/new.
3. User grants access to their entire organization or selected repositories.
4. Probot receives the installation events, which include the GitHub user's ID (e.g., github_user456).

One approach I'm considering is to use a callback URL that points to my NextJS app. The callback URL would include the installation_id as a parameter. Probot would store the installation_id in a database, and my NextJS app would poll the database to find the matching installation_id. Once a match is found, I can link the sender.id from the installation event with the user.id from the NextJS account.

Once the user accounts are linked, I can display the appropriate repositories to the user in the app's UI.
