Can PO read secrets for basic auth from the NS the prometheus resource is defined?

I'd expect that if a Prometheus resource is created in namespace foo and it has a section like:

+ basicAuth:
+        username:
+          name: basic-auth
+          key: username
+        password:
+          name: basic-auth
+          key: password

then I'd expect the operator to look in namespace foo to find basic-auth.

Other configuration is namespace aware, however basic auth secrets seem to be required to be in the operator namespace. Is this correct, if so, are there any hurdles to implement this?

Nvm, i probably tested this wrong. Operator does look at secret in the respective NS.
