I'm facing an issue with one of my exporters, causing some irregularities in my network traffic data. I'm using the following query to retrieve server traffic data and create a chart:
The problem arises because one of my exporters is experiencing issues, resulting in occasional dips in the network_traffic metric where the reported value is lower than the previous one. This inconsistency disrupts the counter behavior, leading to incorrect spikes in the chart.
I'm looking for a solution to modify the query so that it disregards any data points where the reported value is lower than the previous one. This way, I can ensure that the chart accurately represents the network traffic trends. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello
I'm facing an issue with one of my exporters, causing some irregularities in my network traffic data. I'm using the following query to retrieve server traffic data and create a chart:
sum_over_time(increase(network_traffic{srvid="123"}[1h])[59m:1h])
The problem arises because one of my exporters is experiencing issues, resulting in occasional dips in the network_traffic metric where the reported value is lower than the previous one. This inconsistency disrupts the counter behavior, leading to incorrect spikes in the chart.
I'm looking for a solution to modify the query so that it disregards any data points where the reported value is lower than the previous one. This way, I can ensure that the chart accurately represents the network traffic trends. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
