Cross test inputs for Update and Delete and other methods

Issue details

In #1912 we added cross-testing for inputs on Create. This already yielded some interesting discrepancies but in order to confidently ship fixes for these, we need to cross-test other methods. This will ensure that the fix does not regress there.
