  1. One of the biggest obstacles to bring new users to FOSS communication software is how they don't transfer the list of friends. Facilitating an integrated Discord "Import" database of chat's history could be a turning point for Tox adoption. Does it sound unlikely of so much work to do? Yes, again it seems like a huge advertising.
  2. Telegram groups, bots, and all. Importing text from there to a new, better open-source alternative too, but not just that. Tox doesn't seem likely to replace Telegram's groups structure. Discord modern layout focused on GAMERS motivates community growth even with censorship on self-hosted groups. That is, there still a need for modernizing this project's platform, and only then, be able to compete.
  3. Consider FB and how it's obsolete, data-leaking, botnet. And still nobody seems to care to stop using it. A better approach to welcome boomers is very necessary as has been seen on the last years of the tox's users growth results.
  4. Signal became the most successful software on the p2p by implementing very friendly integrations, but, they gave up on SMS. Perhaps you could get that market with their abandoned code.

I have been following this project for years, and I always see this great potential that slowly gets better losing user interest for worse alternatives.

This considerations are feedback wishing Tox could give a step further which doesn't only mean better code.
Users who tried Tox still regard it in alpha phase for its total peer-to-peer text approach. Why not start with that on the front-page? Seems Tox is just another centralized software depending on servers instead of full p2p text messaging.
New in-game layout for gamers seems to have a huge market too.
