Documentation site does not redeploy on merge to master #1183

This is increasingly important as we want to do blog posts. I am however not sure how to square it with merging changes that are not yet released, but update documentation.

I thought about this and I would suggest that we introduce a dev branch. The dev branch will be used for active development and the main branch represents the current release.
This way we could deploy regularly the blog and merge separately.
