Like powertoys, it would be nice to hold Esc to discard and hold Enter to continue, short pressing either of them to record the actual key:

Not sure what you mean, but SharpKeys is all about remapping keys to each other, rather than adding functionality. I'd say try AutoHotKeys but I have no idea how this would work, since it would be up to the app to figure out what discard or continue do.

@randyrants With all due respect, please try recording keys with powertoys and hold Esc/Enter to see the effect, you will understand what I meant. By the way, I'm an extremely heavy AHK user XD.

Oh, I see, you mean from within the application itself - not functionality that sent control/discard to whatever application was running, sort of like a keyboard accelerator for OK/Cancel.

I'll leave this open as an ask for enhancement, if someone wants to pick it up. I mean, I'd be worried that the labels are confusing, and most people aren't used to holding a key for a long selection. Long mouse click, long on-screen keyboard press, tap and hold with a pen, sure, but on a keyboard... I figure I'd be opening the door to complaints about "what does this mean?" For context, I still get 3-4 emails a month with people telling me I've worded the main UI poorly (and they don't realize that I've changed over the years to support asks from people complaining but it still throws people.)
