Describe the bug

On some Linux distributions, file open/save pickers are broken with the latest version of Electron: electron/electron#31152

This was reported by a user in #1467.

I was not able to reproduce on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS.

Suggested workaround

Continue using Realm Studio 11.1.0 until the issue is resolved upstream.

Possible resolutions (in order of preference)

  1. Wait for for a fix in Electron (the ticket has been open since 27 September with no official response however)
  2. Switching to the async picker APIs apparently works around the issue: c2d7fa/thinktool@a9405dc
  3. Downgrade Electron

Upstream Electron should now have a fix for this: electron/electron#31152 (comment)
