There's no R support currently. What is needed when adding new support is:
So as a first step, can you write down here what you know about what we'd need to do? |

This functionality would be great! I wonder if the easiest way to start with R is to set this up for R package development. The DESCRIPTION file at the package root lists package dependencies and versions with the syntax Perhaps a refactoring of the datasource: https://cloud.r-project.org/src/contrib (there are other mirrors available too) The CRAN repo above would contain packages with the most recent versions released. Essentially the As for the work to create a manager... I'm not entirely familiar with that process. |

Hi there, You're asking us to support a new package manager. We need to know some basic information about this package manager first. Please copy/paste the new package manager questionnaire, and fill it out in full. Once the questionnaire is filled out we'll decide if we want to support this new manager. Good luck, The Renovate team |

Was that questionnaire ever filled out? I was incorrectly assuming that Renovate would be supporting R/CRAN packages only to now find that it doesn't. We just took on an R project and I was hoping that Renovate would help us to manage the packages like all of our other projects. |

I've worked with renovate in a Java environment before and found it moderately useful and was wondering if there's a manager for R/cran repositories?
If there isn't one available, how hard is it to create one?
