I am new to Renovate, I was trying to use it to keep dependencies updated and worked smoothly on my tests it opened new branches for each of the outdated dependencies found.
and am going beyond my repositories are mostly Java with Maven and I am checking if renovate could filter by Group ID ignoring all other dependencies he found on pom.xml.

is it possible? for instance to have a config preset like:

Yes, you could write a packageRule which has excludePackagePatterns + enabled=false and that would disable all dependencies except the ones you excluded

but I am still stuck on this, can you help me pointing what is going wrong with my preset definition?

What I am trying to do is, create just one PR grouped by the faster XML Jackson family, ignoring all other libraries:
