Hi,

I have a gitlab pipline which update GitLab (docker) itself via an Ansible Playbook. I want renovate to open a MR if the image tag used is not the latest.

I tried to create a regex under RegexMangers but i fail to do so...I am not sure what i am getting wrong.

I have a .gitlab-ci.yml file where i have this:

in the repo i have this renovate.json file:

Can someone help me sorting this one out ?

NOTE:
in the same repo, i have a Dockerfile (for testing purpose) and Renovate sees it without any issues and opened MR accrodingly to update image version. Thus, I don't have any access / right issues.

Your regex is looking for single quotes only, but your example contains double quotes.

I corrected the value tag in my .gitlab-ci.yml to have the correct full tag syntax :

variables:
  gitlab_version:
    # renovate: datasource=gitlab-tags depName=gitlab/gitlab-ce

Now the regex matches the valule correctly but it seems that i am facing another problem:

There is simply no repository gitlab/gitlab-ce ...
It is called gitlab-org/gitlab-foss
