I just wanted to let you know that I'm excited about the new "flip_source_id" feature. However I think I ran into a bug I wanted to report (knowing that it's still work in progress and this issue might be obsolete while I type).
I rebooted my machine and I had Blender open and FLIP Fluids was calculating a simulation. After the reboot I reopened Blender and the file I had open before. Then I clicked "resume" and I have the impression that the information for "flip_source_id" was gone. Maybe you haven't yet implemented saving "flip_source_id" data for "resume"? I'm aware this feature is experimental but I thought it would be good to let you know anyways.
To Reproduce
(Force-) quit a running bake and then resume.
Expected Behaviour
flip_source_id data should remain in the simulation
Actual Behaviour
flip_source_id data was probably lost

Hi, thanks for letting us know! I wasn't able to reproduce the issue in just some brief testing. The data should be preserved after resuming the simulation, but there could be a bug.
Anyway, we are heavily re-working this feature and the data that is saved/loaded from the cache has changed. We'll make sure this will work.
Some extra notes for the Source ID and Age attribute:
Support for particle sheeting with these features are not yet implemented.
These attributes may not display correctly if the Particle Scale (FLIP Fluid Surface panel) value is changed from the default.
